Key Responsibilities

As the Deputy Manager, SCPD, you will be responsible for ensuring Aarong’s ethical production standards are upheld across its vast network. Your core responsibilities include:

Auditing: Planning, developing, and executing comprehensive social compliance audits for Aarong’s own production hub, Ayesha Abed Foundation, Independent Producers, and other hubs.
Field Monitoring: Conducting frequent field visits to production hubs and Independent Producers (both inside and outside Dhaka) to ensure proper implementation of social compliance initiatives.
Reporting & Analysis: Preparing and analyzing detailed reports on audit findings, compliance status, and corrective actions using the designated system for management review.
Corrective Action Plans (CAPs): Supporting Aarong’s producers and artisans in implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) through timely monitoring and system improvements.
Training & Development: Designing and delivering industry-specific training programs on social compliance standards, local and international labor laws (ILO conventions, etc.), and best practices for producers, artisans, and staff.
Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and stakeholders (e.g., WFTO, BSCI, SA8000) to maintain international compliance standards.
Safeguarding: Actively practicing, promoting, and ensuring the implementation of Aarong’s safeguarding policies to maintain a safe working environment for all.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Preferably in Business Administration (BBA) / Development Studies / Economics) from any reputed university.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector/ administration / training and development organization / NGOs.

Skills & Expertise

Mandatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of local and international labor laws.
Advantageous Knowledge: Familiarity with social auditing standards (e.g., WFTO, BSCI, SA8000, ILO) is a significant added advantage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management and data management tools.
