Key Responsibilities
As an IT Security Officer, you will be the guardian of the bank’s digital assets. Your primary duties will include:
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies aligned with Bangladesh Bank’s ICT Security Guidelines.
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor IT infrastructure, servers, applications, and SIEM platforms for vulnerabilities, threats, and anomalies.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and forensic analysis. Ensure up-to-date security patches.
- Incident Response: Detect, analyze, investigate, and respond to security incidents. Prepare detailed reports for management and Bangladesh Bank.
- Compliance & Audit: Support IT governance and address observations from internal/external audits and Bangladesh Bank IT audits.
- Technical Oversight: Manage firewalls, network protocols, packet analysis, and OS security (Windows/Linux).
- Training: Propose and conduct employee training programs to foster a strong security culture.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-8 Years of working experience in the Banking IT sector.
- Specific Experience: Minimum 03 years of proven work experience in implementing IT policies, monitoring, and maintaining IT security systems/tools.
- Certifications: Professional certifications like CISSP, CISA, CEH, CISM, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, or PCI DSS are highly preferred.
